Plural to Singular

Herkum has asked for the wisdom of the Perl Monks concerning the following question:

There is a module that will convert a word from singular to plural Lingua::EN::Inflect. However I would like to also take a word that is plural and convert it to a singular.

I have not found any modules that does this and I was hoping someone could offer some suggestions.

Herkum, Oddly enough, Lingua::EN::Inflect::Number has a to_S() that will turn "goats" into "goat". Cheers - L~R	[reply]

This is a bizarra place to patch Lingua::En::Inflect, which from the documentation, looks like someone did. I wonder why to_S and fixes to to_P don't get merged?	[reply]
