problem accessing lotus

arunmep has asked for the wisdom of the Perl Monks concerning the following question:

Hi guys Iam trying trying to create a utility that access the lotus notes iam able to connect the notes throught Win32:OLE but iam unable to access the attachements can anybodu enlighten me how to access the attachments in lotus notes thank you

Searching for Lotus Notes or Lotus Notes Lotus Notes gives a lot of results, and I also have a snippet to extract/convert emails to HTML. Depending on the release version of your Lotus Notes client, it may or may not be possible to save the attachments through Win32::OLE. But you don't tell us, so we can't help you there.	[reply]

I think you'll have better luck asking this question in a Lotus Notes forum, and perhaps phrasing it as if you're accessing the data from VB rather than Perl. Come to think of it, you may want to test with VB rather than Perl -- Win32::OLE isn't perfect, so it may just be that you can achieve what you're trying to do from VB. I like perl, but I'll use whatever gets the job done, even if it's vb :) Mike	[reply]
