Point of clarification: you only get a notification when a title is changed due to a manual action by the janitor involved; it's not automatic.

Anyway, it's an interesting idea. Could you detail your justification for it? I.e. what's the benefit that would be worth pmdev making the enhancement?

It's probably just me, but I wait until I've driven myself nearly insane before I ask a question and then I wait impatiently for a response. This way, while I've got one eye on the CB, I'd know when my question hit the public and be able to guess when I might see some response.

I wouldn't worry too much about the node being approved or front-paged. And if you're dying for an answer, mention the node in the CB and just about any time of day, a few people will check it out, approving and front-paging as necessary. And there are others who ignore the CB and check out Newest Nodes (that's how I saw this thread).

And sometimes, when you're dying for an answer, the best thing to do is to set it aside for a while and then come back to it later. I've solved more than one thorny problem while walking to the bank or making coffee, and letting my mind wander.
