"I have encrypted the above text for Not_a_Number to prevent other monks from reading it and down-voting me further; it is also probably easier for him to read. I take exp seriously."

Looks like your plan has backfired some what.

First of all, stop taking XP seriously? Can you exchange it for goods or services anywhere? Or donate it to a charity? Not that I know of, so why bother taking it seriously? What I take seriously around here is the comments, advice and criticism from my fellow monks. Have you read The Role of XP in PerlMonks? Secondly, in what way is writing something in another language a form of encryption?

Don't you think that he might have really meant. "I know full well that just about anyone will be able to read this, but as I don't really give a monkey's about XP, what the hell...but it'll be amusing to see people taking my words seriously."?

Examine what is said, not who speaks -- Silence betokens consent -- Love the truth but pardon error.
Lingua non convalesco, consenesco et abolesco. -- Rule 1 has a caveat! -- Who broke the cabal?
"Science is about questioning the status quo. Questioning authority".
In the absence of evidence, opinion is indistinguishable from prejudice.
It is possible that he might have really meant many things, rather than comment on what he may have wanted to say I commented on what he did say. Since the written word is open to interpretation it is possible that he meant many things, perhaps you are right, or perhaps he did not mean what you have taken from his post.
