For anyone out there that anticipates smashed pumpkins:

Dog Crap, Lots of it. Mix in some old kitty litter. I think my house must have become famous, nobody smashes my Jack-O-Lanterns anymore.

Yes it makes a mighty mess and smells bad, but you ROFLYAO while you spray off the foot prints on your driveway.

I was getting fed up with all this about pumpkins, but you made me laugh out loud ++. When I was a young lad many moons ago in the UK we didn't know what a pumpkin was and had to make do with a hollowed out turnip or swede. Not an easy thing to hollow out compared to a pumpkin. Many hours later with cuts on our hands the resplendent blood splattered hollowed out turnips would be put on view illuminated by a bit of candle (no batteries or flashing diodes for us). Well it is halloween. A turnip? That sounds like a true challenge, I've made Jacks out of various gourds, but never a turnip I'm glad I made you laugh. After having a number of Jack-O-Lanterns smashed over the years I decided to get even. I decided that filling it with broken bottles was over the top, but remembered the old "poop in a burning bag" prank. I had two more Jacks smashed after that (2002) and not a one since. :) --Brig	[reply]
