Hi,

Looks ok for me. On your code replace:

$self->Usage ("Can't start client: $!");
[download]

with

$self->Usage ("Can't start client: $@");
[download]

And now, when you say it don't work, you mean that, more specificly? The socket is not opening, which error are you getting in $@?

Perhaps someone edited `/etc/protocols` or switched the machine from or to using NIS. /J\	[reply] [d/l]

hmmm ... the machine was using NIS and is now using LDAP. Is that the culprit? If so, how do I resolve this? Also, why would removing NIS be the issue oh great one?	[reply]
