I've mentioned this in the CB a couple of times over the past few days, and tye did mention a day or two ago that he may have done something that 'broke' it... but it keeps on happening.

That is, randomly (it seems) when I click on the "I've checked all of these" button in the Newest Nodes - nothing happens. That is - all the nodes I have just been through are still there.

I've tried logging in and logging out, closing my browser and starting again, and I've experienced the same behaviour from two different machines (at home and at work).

The odd thing is that it only appears to happen randomly. Am I the only one experiencing this behaviour, and does anyone know what is causing it?

Re: "I've checked all of these" in Newest Nodes misbehaving.. (fixed)

This should be fixed now. The problem I introduced and have resolved is clicking "I've checked all of these" in succession. That is, on a page of Newest Nodes that was loaded as a result of clicking "I've checked all of these", clicking "I've checked all of these" (again) would keep the last-checked date the same. Reloading Newest Nodes for any other reason would break the cycle and fix the problem.

There is still the race condition in the node cache that can cause the "I've checked all of these" to be ignored on rare occassions, usually when you are getting a lot of votes on nodes changing your XP.

Yup, much better - thanks :)

hmm, that could be an issue for some people, but it's not something I usually have to worry about ;)

Hey, what did I do?  ;-)

In the past, whenever I've had weird behavior in the Newest Nodes or Recently Active, I clear my newest nodes and try again.

Do you mean by clicking the "Clear my last checked flag" button?

I've also tried that, but it didn't help.

That's what I meant. Sorry it didn't help.

I've been seeing this for the last few days, and it's not random for me. It's every time. Once I started seeing this, I've not seen it actually do anything. Clearing the flag and then clicking the "I've checked all of these" button doesn't fix it, either. I'm hoping this can be repaired...

hmmmf; noticed this, myself, ca 1700 GMT, 2006-12-04.
    Then saw xdg's reply above
    So I tried that...
    No joy!
