stanleyscup has asked for the wisdom of the Perl Monks concerning the following question:

I am totally new to encoding and decoding. I have a PDF document that I need to decode some of the content, it's in FlateDecode. How can I decode the content? Does anyone have an example of doing this? Also if anyone has any experience in inserting images into a PDF I'd love to hear from you. Thanks all for any help possible. RP

First suggestion: look in CPAN: there are numerous modules for dealing with PDFs. Second suggestion look in Super Search: numerous questions related to PDFs have been posted and answered in the past. Third suggestion, tell everybody what "FlateDecode" is.third removed, as I googled it

    Hi stanleyscup,

Have you checked out CAM::PDF? The documentation is pretty good and it has many helpful scripts.

    Hope this helps.
