Roomba + Wii remote + Perl = Awesome

While browsing Slashdot today I noticed an article titled Roomba + Wii remote + Perl = Awesome. There is a youtube video on the RoombaWii page linked to from the article of the roomba in action, and a link to the source code. Looks pretty cool IMHO. I wish I had a roomba, and a wii :)

Yeah, I wish Roomba's were affordable, too. Even on eBay, they are running in th $70-110 (USD) range. I'll wait until they get down below $25, pick up two, and build a self-motile Cat Exercise Machine that coincidentally sweeps the floor. ---- I Go Back to Sleep, Now. OGB	[reply]

A few years ago B&Q had a sub 30 GBP version of the roomba. From what I have read it ok but not as intelligent as the roomba. I have watched a few of the roombas on Ebay, including shipping from the USA the top model sells (buy it now auctions) for less than you can pick up the lowest model from shops in the UK. We can only hope they make it cheaper to sell more of them :) Martin	[reply]
