I'm trying to type in the chatterbox, and it's giving only about four or five words. Is this new? was this discussed? What's the purpose?

update: Even using the non-frame chatterbox, it still seems to be throwing away about one third of the entries I type. Very random, because the exact same text the next time works.

Odd, very odd.

OK, it's more than just the chatterbox. It just ate two of my posts here too, returning me to the front page instead of accepting the new text.

    • is it genuiniely cutting off part of your input, or just rejecting X% of HTTP requests?
    • what hostname do you use in the URLs?
    • are you using a proxy server?
    • if you hack the HTML to make the form GET instead of POST to you have the same problem?

I wasted a huge amount of time in the chatterbox today and I didn't notice anything. Is it possible it's some strange firewall, proxy, or browser issue? Perhaps your ISP started transparent proxying you or some other dumb thing that shouldn't have been done on a Friday afternoon?
