Try flushing the dns cache on the failing machine and see if that makes any difference?

    It made no difference. I was able to do that and did get the "Successfully flushed..." response. But it made no difference in LWP or Win32::Internet failing where MSIE works. I am responding via the supspect PC.

        The suspect PC fails in the same way for all URLs. It likewise has problems connecting to the PPM repositories, even ActiveState's. Always the same PC fails for all but MSIE. MSIE lets me browse anywhere on that PC.

        I tried giving the MSIE user-agent string in LWP but that had no effect either.
