saintmike has asked for the wisdom of the Perl Monks concerning the following question:
which is pretty much as clear and simple as it gets? The result is a syntax error:sub function { return 8 } my $a = function / 4;
Search pattern not terminated at ./test.pl line 10.Sure, function can be disambiguated to function(), but there is no real ambiguity in the first place, or is there?
