Currently studying the CIW Website Design Manager course, I found the section on Perl confusing. I decided that my tutor materials were not as good as they should be, as passing the assignments and understanding the course content is straight forward, yet implementing the ongoing practical challenges they set doesn't seem to be in context with the topics in hand. Surely there were resources available that would help people like me.

As I'll be working from home, (I'm disabled), I want very much to know more about Perl than the confines of my (very dry) course. I did a search for Perl tutorials online, and here I am. I've been here 5 minutes, and I'm impressed...very impressed. I like the idea of a "meeting place" where all can help each other and learn stuff at the same time. I think this is a place I'll be calling "home" for a long time to come :)
