    Curl visits BSD machines more frequently. On linux machines, you can use wget, or lynx or links with approperiate switches.

    However, using the LWP module (as others mentioned) or its standalone executables is probably easier.

    curl command is not working for me. Also i couldnt get manual page on curl in my unix machine. Can you help me?

    Yes: most probably it's not installed at all. What does

    which curl

    say?

    Other than curl(1), you can try wget(1). If it's not installed, either, than do install it. But best of all, to keep the discussion in topic, do install LWP. For a starter, LWP::Simple may be enough.
