Are you looking for Test::Expect "Automated driving and testing of terminal-based programs" or for Expect? Either way have you tried installing them from using cpan on the command line? See Installing Modules for help installing modules. IIRC if you have not done so you may will need to install Apple's XCode development environment. This is on the OSX 10.4 CD/DVD, also you can get it from here, which will ensure you get the most up to date version.

Otherwise you could have a look at darwin ports Test::Expect or darwin ports Expect respectively, and see if this suits your needs.
