Anonymous Monk has asked for the wisdom of the Perl Monks concerning the following question:

When programming in Windows environment, and I use the SYSTEM(CLS) function, the screen DOES clear itself, BUT the mouse bar appears. This gets extremely annoying when using it in full screen mode! If someone can help me, I'm thanking you in advanced!

    hmm, have you tried print qq/\e[2J/; (does the exact same thing; try cls>file sometime ((8 and \e[H\e[J from linux's clear works, too)
