This is a symptom of that your perl process cannot read the cookies files, judging from the path, probably because of lacking permission.

Security advice: Don't browse the web as root, ffs! Use a normal user account.

The perl process ran as root , so I'm guessing permissions weren't a problem ... I'm not usually running scripts as root , but I was writing this script while on a Live CD .	[reply]

Its more likely that the Firefox cookies are in a format HTTP::Cookies can't parse just another cpan module author	[reply]
