jfroebe has asked for the wisdom of the Perl Monks concerning the following question:

Hi everyone,

I've combed CPAN and Google pretty thoroughly looking for a Perl based UDDI server or server API. As far as I can tell, no one has written such a beast yet. I'm aware of the java based jUDDI server from Apache but I'm trying to stay away from it (I prefer to work with Perl if at all possible).

Does anyone know of a Perl based UDDI server or server API?

According to the Wikipedia article, there is a Perl UDDI client implementation to be found at UDDI::Lite; it appears to be part of SOAP::Lite. I don't have a feel for the goodness of the module, since I try to avoid SOAP as often as I can. It always struck me that the word 'simple' in this context is not correct. There is very little about SOAP that is simple....
