Re^6: Problems with PDF::API2 and Compress:Zlib on redhat e4

Well, I'm certainly getting there. The only error I have left is:

Can't locate auto/Compress/Zlib/autosplit.ix in @INC

However I can not find a IO::Compress::Zlib on cpan, only an ::FAQ Edit, wait, got it... Edit 2: Yeah, I installed it, and I still get Can't locate auto/Compress/Zlib/autosplit.ix in @INC How do I restore that?

You want Compress::Zlib, not IO::Compress::Zlib. "What should it profit a man, if he should win a flame war, yet lose his cool?"	[reply]

root@linuxbox Compress-Zlib-2.005# perl Makefile.PL Up/Downgrade not needed. Writing Makefile for Compress::Zlib Can't locate auto/Compress/Zlib/autosplit.ix in @INC I really wish I wasn't so hasty to start deleting things before :)	[reply]

Ok, well I seem to have messed up my install too trying to reproduce your symptoms. However, re-installing the last 1.X version of compress::zlib seems to work. So try that: get http://search.cpan.org/CPAN/authors/id/P/PM/PMQS/Compress-Zlib-1.42.tar.gz install it and then try to re-install PDF::Api2 "What should it profit a man, if he should win a flame war, yet lose his cool?"
