You said in the first post that you had no problems with reading the spreadsheet, but that you want help with templating.

Now it seems that templates are not the problem - so what is it? Opening the files for writing? accessing the right cells in the spreadsheet? getting the data out of the spreadsheet? writing the shell scripts?

First off, yes I have no problems reading spreadsheet that is correct. No templates was something I was after. My problem was taking the excel info and putting them into a template format so i can repeat the script regardless of what values they were as long the spreadsheet stayed the same. I will read on the Text::template module and see if that solves my problem. Thanks..
