Today I amazed at a news from http://www.perl.com that Parrot 0.4.15 Released and PIR will be abandoned in the future version of Parrot.
I've accustomed to getting perl news from perlmonk, but I find perl news section has no any update since 26/08/2007. Maybe the guy with responsibility for news leave on vacation or news about Parrot has excluded?
Recently I've often commited some stupid mistake since I stayed up all night for a project. I make a apology in advance If I overlook Parrot news in perlnews section.

I am trying to improve my English skills, if you see a mistake please feel free to reply or /msg me a correction

Usually, the Parrot release manager posts a notice about the release to the appropriate venues. When it's my turn, I usually forget one or two. I'm sure that's what happened with Patrick.

(PIR is not deprecated; NQP is merely displacing it as the primary recommended language in which to write compiler transformation stages.)

There is no "guy with responsability for news" at perlmonks. The news section is just like all the other sections on the site - anyone who has the time and inclination to post things there can post there. So if you found some news that you feel is relevant and you see that no one else has posted it, *you* should post it :-)

Or Piccard could "make it so". (Thread moved from PerlMonks Discussion and retitled from "perl news has no update?".)
