dmorgo has asked for the wisdom of the Perl Monks concerning the following question:

I've done MVC (Model-View-Controller architecture) web apps for a while now using CGI::Application, but have often heard people in the Java community mention the Model 2 variant of MVC, which is supposed to be more scalable and maintainable. There is a very short Wikipedia page about Model 2 which itself points to a couple of articles.

I'd like to give Model 2 a whirl in Perl (sorry, the rhyming was not intended).

A cursory search on http://search.cpan.org/ didn't turn up anything that looked promising.

Is anybody here doing Model 2 architecture now with existing Perl modules or sets of modules? If so, can you describe your implementation a bit and say what combination of modules you have used? Or if not, any ideas on this are welcome.

It's not that I have a burning need for this at the moment, but I'd like to play with it so I will get a better understanding of it. So please no replies saying "you don't need it..." I agree, I don't need it at the moment, but I do want to play with it.
