Perl Installation Question

Your installer may set/change some environment variables. These won't be seen by already-running processes. Otherwise, no, there shouldn't be any need to reboot.	[reply]

From an admin perspective this isn't a good question. If the server is in production you don't fiddle with it and and install new software for fun. Reboot is difficult in production. Or you are in maintenance / test mode and you'd just do a reboot.	[reply]
