Anonymous Monk has asked for the wisdom of the Perl Monks concerning the following question:

Should or will www::mechanize handle a url like the one below (that contains a javascript .do) extension using the get routine?
http://www.hi5.com/friend/displayAddFriendProfile.do?userid=40418104&a +mp;originURI=%2Fprofile%2FdisplayProfile.do%3Fuserid%3D40418104
Thanks

Of course. There is no JavaScript involved here. This is a simple HTTP GET.

It's not Javascript. This URL simply means: run displayAddFriendProfile.do and pass to it these params userid=40418104&originURI=%2Fprofile%2FdisplayProfile.do%3Fuserid%3D40418104.

So it's simple GET. And WWW::Mechanize (as LWP::UserAgent class) can get this URL.

I forgot to mention that this is actually from a link on the page:
    <a href="/friend/displayAddFriendProfile.do?userid=40418104&amp;origi +nURI=%2Fprofile%2FdisplayProfile.do%3Fuserid%3D40418104" name="&lid=O +therProfile_AddAsFriend"><img src="http://images.hi5.com/images/icons +/add_friend.gif" alt="Add as a Friend" align="absmiddle">Add as a Fri +end</a>
I've tried following the link but have had no luck...
