moseley has asked for the wisdom of the Perl Monks concerning the following question:

That about sums it up. I've read over the Net::SSLeay docs a few times and I can get access to the peer's certificate. What I'm seeking is examples of how I can actually validate the certificate and make sure it's signed by a trusted CA.

Anyone have code examples?

Thanks

      Perfect!

Your response was a bit terse, but led me to CTX_set_default_verify_paths

      Thanks,

Good question posed, but I'm lost as to the apparently self-evident answer. Can someone give me a quick (but not too quick) explanation?
