Anonymous Monk has asked for the wisdom of the Perl Monks concerning the following question:

Dear All

I have tried to find the most suitable place to post this, if you feel it is not really the right place for this please feel free to delete it...

I am currently looking for a perl programmer to help with some project work and wondering where the best place to post a job would be, I am looking for a freelancer (work from home) - There is a wealth of talent here the project is to help with the coding of a web based perl app, quite a sizable applicaton (will involve enhancing and bug fixing)... strong experience with SQL (mySQL) is essential - and will last 4-5 weeks.

If anyone is available, or could point me to the best place to post - I have tried freelance type bidding sites, and haven't had good experiences!

Thanks John

As well as using the excellent jobs.perl.org site, find your local perl mongers group. They'll be able to help you. But please remember to read their individual FAQs before posting to their mailint list, as some groups prefer employers to post to a different list, or to send their job ad to a list moderator.
