Then you have a problem that I have no idea how to solve. Sorry. Maybe you could try to de-/re-install HTML::TableExtract? Or to update the version of perl that you are using?	[reply]

Have you tried to run the script yourself and did it work? I have the latest version of Perl	[reply]

Have you tried to run the script yourself and did it work? I have the latest version of Perl As have I - prints "`parse me`" here. Sounds like one or more of the supporting modules (or perl itself) is broken or mis-installed. -David	[reply] [d/l]

Yes, I tried it (same for all my other snippets in this thread) and it works, outputting "`parse me`" as expected. In fact, that's why I posted some stand-alone code, in the hope that some Monk more knowledgeable than me in the inner workings of HTML::TableExtract would bring you some enlightenment. As it is, we're probably buried too deeply in this thread for any such luminary to bother reading thus far (not enough XP to be gained :).	[reply] [d/l]
