Kate 3.4 seems to insist on altering the carefully mastered users and permissions on every rewrite-save of a re-edited script, resulting in catastrophic failures like " *** glibc detected *** /usr/bin/perl: double free or corruption (!prev): 0x094f3240 *** " . I cannot see anywhere that I can put a stop to this intrusion over the mastered settings?
