Simple script serving as httpd

ivanatora has asked for the wisdom of the Perl Monks concerning the following question:

Hello, I'm searching for a simple standalone script which can serve requests from browsers and then takes some action. I tried on Google, but I didn't find anything usefull on "perl script httpd" becouse of the popular keywords... If I could find basic httpd script I could edit it to suit me. Can you recommend me something?

Try HTTP::Server::Simple or HTTP::Daemon from CPAN.	[reply]

In the time before HTTP::Server::Simple, I wrote Simple HTTP in under 100 lines, but I recommend HTTP::Server::Simple, especially for anything that goes beyond serving of simple files.	[reply]
