Yes, but plenty of other languages have multiple version updates continuing onward. I would think that Perl 5 is a fairly major change from Perl 4 and by 2001 when the graph ends, I think that Perl 5.005 was the modern version of Perl at the time. -xdg Code written by xdg and posted on PerlMonks is public domain.
