Re^4: Perl best practices fanatism

I'm wondering if we actually read the same book. While there are many points where I decided not to follow PBP advices (e.g. Contextual::Return seems too clever dark magic IMHO), I always found that TheDamian clearly explained the why under the suggestion. Otherwise, I think that his 256 suggestions would have fit into some 20 pages, more or less.

Actually you can get a relatively good summary version that's one page front and back. Update: Gah, I just tried to hit that and got an error; I believe google's got a cached copy of the PDF (perl best practices reference guide vromans). The cake is a lie. The cake is a lie. I just don't like the army style. could it be that you skipped the foreword? or that you are confusing it with a different book? or maybe there are two different versions out there...	[reply]
