I have just uploaded Perl::Install. This is a pair of scripts that helps automate the installation of Perl and specific CPAN modules to a directory. Right now, it's very Unix-specific and requires external executables. It works for me, but I'd love to get feedback and get it working for everyone. Specifically, I'd love to get people to help get it working with Strawberry Perl and ActivePerl.

My criteria for good software:
  1. Does it work?
  2. Can someone else come in, make a change, and be reasonably certain no bugs were introduced?

Replies are listed 'Best First'.

    Can it install Perl 1.0?

No, but I'll gladly take a patch. :-)
