You can upload to CPAN scripts, modules, binaries, or whatever Perl stuff you have. It's "Comprehensive" after all. You can also release things through other channels, such as freshmeat. The trick is to find the favorite sites of most of the people who would want to use your stuff.

Writing your script as a modulino (How a script becomes a module) has advantages in testability and maintenance. It's easy to have it both ways, too.

I prefer to release scripts as full distributions so people get the ease of installation using their familiar tools. If you already have the script, it's easy to build a distribution around it using my scriptdist script, which serves as its own example. You can also read my Dr. Dobbs article on scriptdist. My CPAN author directory has examples: the scripts are the things that start with lowercase letters, although some distros such as Mac::iTerm::LaunchPad and App::Module::Lister serve as both modules and scripts.
