I tried Tk-...028 but got a compilation error 
strdup.c:3: error: expected identifier or '(' before '__extension__';
strdup.c:5: error: expected identifier or '(' before '{' token
make[1]: *** [strdup.o] Error 1

    Not good. Can you try to re-run Makefile.PL with verbosity turned on: perl Makefile.PL VERBOSE=1 and send me the complete log? Best to submit the log to the Tk queue in rt.
