My "UNIX in a Nutshell" book lists perl among the Solaris command-line utilities. They'd be nuts not to have it =)

    Well, Perl runs on Solaris just fine... but AFAIK it's not in the default installation package... shoot me if I'm wrong :)

      It is in the default installation. But this is a fairly recent change.
