No, I meant groups.google.com, which almost always leads to CPAN for the required modules. I always search for code snippets first, because generally, by reading comments in the threads, you can filter out the best modules to use. Certain posters are well known for giving solid advice, so I zero in on their comments, and use the modules which they suggest. Going to CPAN directly, often requires personally testing numerous modules, whilst google comments will usually point directly to the "best-of-breed" module for your purpose.

I do understand what you meant however, that CPAN is the ultimate source.
