    It is, in a way. Thankfully for everyone involved, we're not playing cards. I was thinking of explaining this as a way to replay the dealings of a card game, but that's a bad analogy. This only requires psuedorandom ordering and the repeatibility is more important. Re^2: A reproducible shuffle? ("stable shuffle") explains better.
