Hello dear monks,
Foe quite a long time i was wandering :

Why doesn't the perlmonk's.com "designer" use CSS styles to remove these irritating underlines beneath the links that are all around the Pages ?

P.s : It's just a though just a thought ... ;)

P.P.s : After all it could make the monastery even more beautiful ??

One good reason is that the contrast between black text and dark blue links isn't very good, so the underlines are quite useful if your color perception isn't all that good.

I have young and sufficiently good eyes, so I remove the underscores with custom CSS.

I suppose I was first exposed to the web when all links were underlined blue text, so it doesn't bother me; and in fact I do like the visual distinction the underlines give. You know it's a link without having to mouseover. Though I often remove the underline on hover for pages I make myself.

    Custom CSS for the win.

And where do i adjust this custom CSS ?

Display Settings, "On-Site CSS Markup"; or use the "Link to External CSS stylesheet" to include an external CSS URL from somewhere you control.

you can also put custom CSS in most modern browsers. In Opera on the Mac the file for all pages you visit is: /Applications/Opera.app/Contents/Resources/Styles/user.css. Opera can also do site specific CSS.
