The OP seems to want SERVER-SIDE perl, so, perlscript may well be an option. However, it still requires web-server configuration, although the Activestate install does most of it if allowed to.

The OP didn't say anything about client-server (only that he wants a HTML GUI), and PerlScript can be run client-side. It's just an ActiveX control. Yes, you could add IIS and ASP to the mix to run PerlScript server-side, but that's not the option I was proposing.	[reply]
