See Solving Simultaneous Equations with Matrices It explains how to do it. The only thing you need to watch out for, is non-unique solutions. i. e. You get a line of points as a solution, instead of a unique point.

very sweet..thank you!! I searched perlmonks for MatrixReal but nothing returned so I posted. If that would have returned as a result I would not have needed to. How could I have searched to find that??	[reply]
