Well, you know the old saying, a billion dollars ain't what it used to be. When you take the inherent weakness of the US dollar into account, even more so (the fine is, after all, only 899M€). And Microsoft made $4.29 billion profit last year alone...

    ... that's still 30% of one year's profit gone. I think that's a start ;-)

    And I don't know the details, but I guess the fine is actually defined in Euro, and the US centric media printed the equivalent in Dollar.
