The part that I liked best, however, was not the eye candy, however sweet. I pulled up a terminal window (tcsh!) to poke around a bit...

It's going to be shipping in the default installation, I guess, which means that Perl will now be available on every new Mac purchased after June this year. This is good news. ;-)
I'm not quite sure how CPAN will work, of course, but I assume that since OS X is based upon BSD code, there should be no problems making most modules work. I am a bit concerned about TK, simply because X apps may require third-party apps to run, but overall, I get a warm feeling knowing that the world is going to see many more Perl installations, very soon.
