dolo21taf has asked for the wisdom of the Perl Monks concerning the following question:

Hello infamous Perl Monks, I am trying to write a code in Perl that validates that the date is in the MM/DD/YY format (with a comma delimited file) and also validated specifically by the month. For example, I want to check that the file Slim.csv has the MM/DD/YY format with a range of no more than 31 days, for february no more than 28 days (since this is a leap year, it would have been 29), and for april, no more than 30 days. Many thanks to those that helped me with my first post. If you need more detailed information that just let me know. I greatly appreciate it. I've seen the examples of some of the ones on this site, but still lost.

Both, Time::Local and DateTime have modes where they validate their input. What exactly do you have problems with?
