Thought that you might all be interested in this news.

There's a second edition of this book due out in a couple of months. I've exchanged a few emails with the author and she's made some changes to the book. In particular:

Discussion of CGI.pm
-w and use strict in all code examples
Much more importance placed on security aspects

I've seen proofs of many of the chapters in the new edition and I have to say that it looks a lot better.

I have the second edition of this book and these issues are addressed. I like the book - it's a start. Anyone involved in a corporate website should be aware of the need to consider security issues and if they aren't they shouldn't be allowed near it. Perhaps this node should be changed so that it clearly refers to the first edition of the book?	[reply]
