checking my modem logs during those transfers, there is no sign of any retrys or checksum errors. And the code you are using for the transfers and unpacking it how well tested?

I haven't tested it extensively, however, the download and unpack plugins are plugins to NSIS, an open-source installer for Windows with a lot of development and field testing behind it. Does the new installer still give you the same errors?

I was using the code.google.com site. Update: I see the new installer has the don't delete option/update.

Do you publish crcs or md5s for these files anywhere?

No, but I will now, it just didn't occur to me to do that until you mentioned it. There may be a NSIS plugin that will do file checksums as well.

I've uploaded a list of checksummed archive files. The MD5 checksum file is located here: http://camelbox.googlecode.com/files/md5sums.txt Ignore the file "gtk-binaries.2008.094.1.tar.lzma", it was never uploaded, it exists on my local machine only. From the checksum list you post above, it looks like your dmake-extra and perl-PAR archives were corrupted. I also re-downloaded all of the files to the same machine that I created the archive files on in the first place, my download of the archive files today match the files that were originally uploaded last week. I'm working on a new installer that does nice things like checksumming and whatnot. I should have it done within the next week or so.	[reply]
