Works for me. You need to have mencoder installed and to modify the paths in the script accordingly.

    i still cannot get this to work if anyone is having problems please speak up. can someone please explain how, which, and why the certain parts of the html code is used. also can anyone tell me how to convert the video file into a audio only file in perl code.
