Please define what the server have been having problems with having to deal with a lot of ftp's sessions firing up in the server means. Is the target system slowing down? Are some of the files getting sent while others aren't? Have you talked with your SysAdmin? Have you considered hiring a consultant?	[reply]

lets say I upload 21 files by ftp and then for some weird reason theres 100 or more process and all of them are FTP sessions	[reply]

to echo the advice given to you by Corion, unless you post some code nobody can really help you, since we don't have access to the server in question, or the script you are running.
