dragonchild has asked for the wisdom of the Perl Monks concerning the following question:

I'm trying to get Parse::Flex to compile my grammar. Having worked through all the hard-coded stuff in the generated Makefile, I'm stuck with xsubpp not converting the XS into C. Is this something other people have run into? What should I be looking for? I've never used xsubpp before, so I'm a little lost.
My criteria for good software:
  1. Does it work?
  2. Can someone else come in, make a change, and be reasonably certain no bugs were introduced?
