lozzer has asked for the wisdom of the Perl Monks concerning the following question:

Hi Everyone, I'm having trouble with PerlApp (PDK 7.2) on Mac OS X 10.4.11 running Perl 5.10. I can create an standalone app, but when I launch it, a Console window pops up in front of the application with just,

() 1 %

showing. Of course, I've chosen the "Generate a .app (GUI executable)" option. I can close the console and the app will continue to run without trouble. It's just ugly and will confuse novice users. I should add that I'm trying to create a GUI app using Tkx. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

Yep... I used the --gui option but the console still appears. Right in front of the application. Note that with Tkx you don't need X windows to run, so there is no need for the console at all.
