Faidros has asked for the wisdom of the Perl Monks concerning the following question:

What's the easiest way to produce a PDF from text and PNGs? I'd rather avoid using proprietary code like SANFACE's text2pdf and external pipes to gs or ps2pdf.

Is there a perl API available for generation of PDF files? (didn't find one on CPAN).

    There are a couple of modules on CPAN that generate PDF, but I don't know if they can handle graphics in addition to text. Check out: You might also want to check out this PM thread PDF via Perl?
